"...For over 25 years I have worked in the field of performing arts, both professionally and in education, and am currently running my own performance laboratory Greda Arts and working with Artsadmin and the acclaimed performance artist Bobby Baker. During this period I have collaborated with many artists from over 15 counties, including those from Slovenia on projects I have either directed or produced.My association with Matej Silic spans over the past three years. He has been involved in a number of my performance projects as graphic designer and fine arts consultant.
I have found Matej an amazingly versatile and talented artist, eager to embark on new challenges with enthusiasm, expertise, efficiency and a with a rare ability to fulfil the needs of the project.
Above all Matej is thirsty for new ideas and is not afraid to cross artistic boundaries, which has made him a particularly interesting artist to work with, while he brings in his own strong and very refined creative vision.I have been very impressed by the quality and volume of his own work to date, which has the sharp edge of contemporality in both form and content.This makes him one of the more interesting artists I have worked with. His energy, flair and versatility, coupled with his amazing eye and drive, makes Matej an emerging artist of note and worthy of all support.The time I and my team have spent working with him has been hugely productive and thoroughly enjoyable, as well as invaluable to each project and I hope to work with him again in the near future.
