When ever I apply for anything, the same questions come up. "How would we benefit from you?" "How do other people view you?" In reality, I can't answer those. I can't tell you how I'll impact an institution, nor can I really define how people think of me. It's not that I won't, it's just that I don't know. Sure, I could say "I'm going to earn you millions and save the world" or "People love me and think I am the hottest thing since pop tarts"...just like everyone else. But would that really be the truth?
I am Lisa. I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, a significant other, a student, a coworker, an employee, a teenage girl. I am nothing else and I will never claim to be anything else. I have never tried to solve world hunger, I have never saved a baby from a burning building, and I have never donated the shirt from my back to a homeless man but I am proud of the person I have grown into, regardless. Sure, the road has been rocky, but that is to be expected. I have given up many things to be where I am today, and I would not trade any of it for the world.
I do not believe in a religion. I honestly believe that everyone is trying to go to the same place; they all just have different names for it. I'll use the world Heaven, since most everyone is familiar with it. Heaven is a state of mind, not a physical place. People think you have to die to attain Heaven. I believe you can get to Heaven right now. It is ultimate happiness; an Intangible feeling of euphoria. I've touched Heaven before, and I know I'll experience it again. Sometimes we all stray from the path a bit, but then something amazing happens and you are right there once more. You may experience Heaven hundreds of times, maybe only once. It all depends on what you believe is right. Heaven for one person may be the worst experience in the world for another.
Everyone has different views and moral codes. I don't believe one is more right over the other. If you give a color blind man a piece of what you perceive to be yellow paper, he might see it as gray. You are not right or wrong, and he is not right or wrong. It's all in how you see the world around you. We all grow up in different places. We all see different things. Where I may have grown up in a nice suburban white family, someone may of grown up in a ghetto Mexican shack. I may think stealing food is bad, but to the Mexican man, it may be his way of putting dinner on the table. A nice Christian girl may think that prostitution is unhealthy and a moral sin, but a prostitute of Peachtree street may enjoy it and find that it brings a decent amount of income. It's all on how we see the world, and no one sees the world through shared eyes.
I am not lesbian, nor am I straight. I am open minded. I believe that when the right person comes for me, gender wont matter. Love knows no boundaries. I also believe that you can love multiple times. I don't believe in one ultimate soul mate. People are constantly changing, constantly growing. As we grow, we find people who grow with us. Whether or not they grow the same way is chance. Love hits us when we least expect it. Usually, it comes when we stop looking for it. You can only love when you love yourself. How can you possibly make someone else happy when you can't make yourself happy? Love is all about giving, and you must learn to give to yourself above all things before you can add another heart into the mix.
I am not republican nor democratic. I take views from both sides and mix them to my own.
I'm like a salad. I like a little bit of everything.
I have had many friends in my life, but rarely any enemies. The only people I have found who dislike me are the people who aren't open to my ideas. People who have already decided that my views are wrong. I don't force relationships but I friend very easily. I am even sometimes too trusting of others. If we have something in common, and if you have anything of a sense of humor, I will immediately like you. I usually do like people, as a whole. I find common interests with most everyone I meet.
I don't much like stereotypes, but we all use them. It's just a way to identify people.
On the surface, I am a bubbly teenage girl with a fan girl tendency. I may even go as to say I might sound unintelligent or mild. It is rare that I find a person to delve deeper into my mind and see what is really there. I am an embodiment of ever changing ideas and concepts. I do not surface these thoughts only because I can never find someone to unleash on.
