Sweatband

About Me

In the fall of 2003, three Black Hills bands melted down into one to form, well, not a supergroup, but a group nonetheless. Sweatband emerged and released their first album in June 2004, "Inspiration for Perspiration", and "LIVE SPRING 2005" was put out in, well, spring of 2005. Their sophomore effort, "Clinically Proven", was released in mid-January of this year, and fans have responded enthusiastically. Continually writing, recording, and performing live, Sweatband is a dedicated unit of musicians who live up to the name through all their hard work and effort. Always an intense showcase, Sweatband runs the gamut with the styles they are influenced with. From progressive rock compositions to roots funk and reggae, funkjazz instrumentals to soul and discofunk, Sweatband never falls into one pigeonholed formula sound. Their musical influences cover a very wide spectrum, and so comes through in their own original works. Sweatband is booking shows for the spring, so stay tuned for upcoming album promotions and special guests. "Clinically Proven" is on sale in the Black Hills area now at these fine locations......Spearfish: Global Market, Common Grounds, Alpine Coffee, Funk Pottery & Sansarc Clothing.........Rapid City: Borders Books and Music, Trebleshooter Guitars, Global Market, Dunn Bros. Coffee
