One day, back in 1998, Bill Barschow and David Conklin were turned on by music while listening to blink-182. They loved to play air-guitar at thier grandmothers house while pretending to rock out to System of a Down. They realized that Air-guitar isn't cool, and about 3 years ago David began fooling around with his fathers old electric guitar and Billy got a bass that year for Christmas. At first, they sucked, but they were persistent and determined. As they got better, they decided to form a band and choose a name for it. Many names came up and they decided on Rout 420. But sadly due to the drug reference our parents forced us to change it. We then decided All Systems Go was a cool name. About 3 months went by with that name but we discovered that there was a popular band called All Systems Go!. So we needed to change the name again. David came up with the name Bang Up Job. Another taken name. So the two decided to get drunk and came up with the name Sniff My Enzo. Don't ask us what the name means, because frankly, we have no idea either. Now with two band members secured and a name to go with it, the only thing left was a drummer. A few names were tossed around, but one that was brought up most frequently was David's friend Rob Deserto. So at the end of 2005, the two asked him to come over and show us his stuff and sure enough, he was the right one for SME. The band started off playing blink-182 and Green Day covers. Those days have passed and while the band hasn't forgotten about their roots, they have come up with their own style, and are writing their own catchy punk rock music.
Our sound is radically changing due to our range in influences. Our newest songs, while still considered punk, will have parts like small hardcore breakdowns and even ska style guitar...We'd love to add a horn section to the band, but its very hard to find people. If you play a brass instrument (trumpet, trombone, sax) and live around us and would like to join SME, leave us a message!!! We will try you out!
