Baz Sloan

Baz Sloan is an up and coming singer/songwriter originally from a small town in Scotland (Girvan) now living down South in Portsmouth. His voice has a rough, husky tone to it which puts an extra twist to his songs. Baz has spent the last year fronting an up beat indie band called "PATHWAY". Formed in August 2007, PATHWAY were are a 5 piece Indie Band from Portsmouth, which although had only been together for just over a year they made themselves a great name in the Portsmouth Music Scene. Within this time they have gigged a few local venues both as a full band and as an acoustic act. They have now changed their line up and band name to "The Frontiers" play covers ranging from The Courteeners to Kings of Leon. They also have a few originals which have a very tight feel to them and which they mix in with their set. They are currently working hard on producing more originals so they can eventually drop the covers and push their own sound onwards and upwards! They are constantly receiving good feedback from both newspapers and music promoters. The band's fresh line-up and original material, mixes distinctive vocals with punk-tinged instrumentals to slap together some seriously inspired crowd pleasers. With standout tracks like "Time Will Tell," the music of The Frontiers appeals to indie fans and non-indie fans alike. Ready to conquer the South Coast in 2009, the lads are working hard in the studio to enable them to kick off year with an EP release. This band is most definately one to keep an eye on this year!!
