Spenfield is a project that was started in 2005 by singer/songwriter Zach Spencer. In November of 2005 Zach had decided to part ways with a band that he had spent the better part of two years playing with in the St. Louis,MO area. It was during these two years that Zach found himself, at the young age of 19, opening for many national acts(Lit,Papa Roach,SugarCult) and headlining numerous local festivals. Regardless of the experience Zach felt compelled to find his own way in music. After a year of intense song-writing and soul searching Zach decided to purchase his own pro-tools rig and began making his own demos at home. What he was beginning to create was a sound that he felt he could now share with his musical peers. One of those peers was friend/producer Daniel Mendez (Lit, Duran Duran,Dashboard). Sensing Zach's ability in song-writing and vocal ability Daniel brought him out to Los Angeles for a week where they came out with three well polished demos. (Used to Care, Should've Been Love, & Letting You In). In 2007, Zach felt his calling was to move to Nashville,TN. After a few short months in Nashville Zach formed up his band and has been playing venues in Nashville and around the South. He has played solo and with his band at : The Rutledge(Nashville,TN),Eddies Attic(Atlanta,GA),The Bluebird Cafe(Nashville,TN),EdgeHill Studios(Nashville,TN)..etc. Look forward to more gigs and more music from this young talented singer/songwriter in 2008.
“As a songwriter, I know that people are constantly listening and searching for something different in music. It’s not very often that a song can change the world, but when it happens, it gives an artist the opportunity to fulfill an even higher calling, and with every song I write, that is what a strive for.†– Zach Spencer
