My heart lives somewhere between Sylvania, Ohio and Kentucky -- it's that one road we traveled for root beer floats and french fries, blasting classic rock, making words out of licence plates. Maybe that can explain that Kentucky twang that comes out when the blues guitar wails. So.......The Flutterbies are "Alt-Country".
Players have revolved around whose available when, e.g. they "flutter by" -- but now include Singer/Guitarist Adam Daniel as the newest co-conspirator, Blues-wailer Bart Ryan, Gluey Bros. Steve Whalen and of late, oft-requested session player Christopher Allis on drums and Jameson Trotter ..s.
OUR NEW E.P. IS DONE! Produced by Bart Ryan, Engineered by Grammy-winner Seth Atkins Horan at Phantom Vox Studios. Look for weekly song uploads throughout February and details of the gala record release party. Happy to have posed for acclaimed painter Jim Owens and photographer Mathew Caine who will show their works not only at my next concert but on collectible pinup postcards. The song "Hummingbird Heart" was just used in mini-documentaries for www.gettoknowusfirst.org, a campaign to reverse Proposition 8 starring George Takai and Gloria Allred.
Past sessions/concerts included JP Durand and Liza Carbe (lead guitar & bass) who co-wrote hundreds of TV/Film cues and Marc Platt (www.radioplayers.com). Past producers of recorded tunes include Carbe/Durand, Christian Nesmith, Ed Goldfarb in San Francisco, David Scheibner in Nasheville and Kirk Miller -- amazingly talented people!
I was on Broadway, sang at Carnegie Hall, have made a few indie films, have cool commercials running which pays for my recording studio habit. I sing for the soap "Passions" as well, and am the voice of 4 U.S. museum audio tours ("on your right you'll see....." 2 hours of me me me....egads!).More info at IMDB.COM, IBDB.COM - just google my name. I toured with outspoken grammy-winner Michelle Shocked and Hebrew Funk Band Rebbe Soul. My latest claim to fame is teaching kids 7-17 singing at ROCK NATION (formerly School of Rock) in Santa Monica.
