It began when front man/emcee Gabriel Saint left Louisiana in 1998 at age 17 to pursue artistic endeavors, along the way making his mark at The Art Institute of Seattle, with stops in Houston and Phoenix, finally making his way back to da dirty south in 2004 to create the ultimate fusion of rock, pop, funk, and hip-hop. His vision evolved into the band loved by the eclectic and enthusiastic blend of supporters…THE HALO ERROR.
After the various cities, friends and music scenes, one thing became apparent to Saint…The Red Stick proved to be the source for the group of funky pop rock inspired hip-hop musicians that now call their musical home T|H|E…Kayswah (keys), V-Loe (drums), EZ (bass), and The Bishop (guitar). The current members and their diverse musical backgrounds have meshed together to produce the ultimate “Sound of Creative Machines.â€
The continuing collaboration with different Louisiana musicians of varying genres—Adam Dale, Illegal Alias, T-Bo and The South Coast Coalition, DJ iExist, Another Big Machine and more- have proven that these guys strive to break the mold of traditional genres, resulting in a progressive, infectious live sound.
After countless hours in the studio along with experimental sessions with pots and pans and other non-traditional methods, the two self-produced albums have been a hit among The Halo Error’s loyal fans. Thanks to the music mastery of Rhett Mouton, the latest album is a prime example of The Halo Error’s quest to take it to the next level with each project…a quest that continues. With each member contributing equally to the diverse catalog of songs, they leave a lasting impression on anyone open to the funky rock hip-hop sound infusion that is ‘The Halo Error’. Bottom line…they love to do what they do best…“putting our thoughts into music.â€
