The 20 year old singer and songwriter grew up in the studio with her father (Hubert Laws) a world renown jazz/classical fluitist and producer/songwriter. She knew at an early age music was her life writing songs at the age of 9 and performing at her dads shows, school talent shows, in choirs such as The Los Angeles Children's Choir, Loyola Marymount University Choir and was the featured singer of Harlottique. After getting the attention of A&R's and V.P.s such as Big Jon Platt, Shawn Holiday and Steve Prudholm, Kriss Ashley has been on the grind not only as an artist but a writer placing songs. Her most notable song "3am" has created a buzz and have music execs inquiring more about who Kriss Ashley is. This has launched her to closely work with such producers as St. Nick, The Underdogs, Rob Knox, Co-Stars, J.R., and Marc Kinchen, Tony Dixon and artist's such as THE GAME and TANK. She comes from a mixed background that taught her to incorporate her diverse love of all kinds of music and created a unique yet relatable sound that anyone can enjoy. She currently in the studio working on International Recording artist Che'nelle (myspace.com/chenelleworld). Together they are a super writing duo THE REPLACEMENT KILLAZ
