About Me
I got to have the honor of meeting Chris Henry in 2005. But I didn't get to talk to him much. I said 7 words to him. "You're my favorite player on the team." All he got to say back to me was, "Thanks." It's crazy how busy these guys are. I really wish I would've got to talk to him more though, becaue they say, every little detail in your life changes your future, well, if I could've talked to him for just a minute longer, I wouldn't be sitting here right now talking about him dying. You might think that nothing could've changed this, but you're wrong, if I would've talked to him for just that minute longer, he would've died either sooner or later than 6:36am on a Thursday morning (12.17.2009), but I would've taken those odds if I was in his shoes becase look at how long the average life expectancy is for a healthy person. They usually live for a long time. But Chris Henry was an exception. He died at a very young age of 26 years old. I'm sure you all have heard the story on how he died so there's no need for me to explain how he died or what the fight was about. All you need to know that you don't already know is that he died at 6:36am in Charlotte, NC. He went down there to visit his Fiance's family, looking at rings and talking to a wedding planner about getting married, which was supposed to happen in March of 2010. It really is crazy how fast life comes and goes, I mean, think about it, he had a broken arm one minute then he was dead the next minute. I know you don't think about it, but it could happen to any of us. It really sucks that it had to be him, though. He didn't deserve to die. Yeah, he got in lots of trouble with the cops, but he had a job, a family, a house and a car. Atleast he was out there trying his best to live a good life, to have a nice job, car, family and a place to live. This is my honest opinion of his death. R.I.P. Chris Henry. (05/17/1983-12/17/2009).
