We Didn't Die
Hey, we're not playing shows anymore since all of us have gone separate ways to pursue "higher education" at random colleges (which doesn't make the whole band thing too easy). If the planets and stars align, and Brian stops being a turd-burglar, you should see a song that we never released up on this page and purevolume. Below are links to all of our individual myspace accounts, so keep in touch. Also keep an eye out for news on new projects and spiffy stuff like that. Thanks for your support!

Old Skool Bio
When you sit in on a show with Nero it is hard not to be astounded by the sound resonating in the air-- this is the making of something very powerful. At the core of the local band scene, there is something very reputable and unique attributed to the band: professionalism and hard work. For once, the weekly strife of band break-ups, make-ups and mess-ups have been put aside for quality and variety, and it has proved to be nothing but successful for the young (circa summer of 2000) band of Randolph, New Jersey.
Alternative rock has never met ears so well, especially originating from such young minds. Rising from the calamity of the tumultuous and ever-evolving array of assorted rock, punk, and emo bands that pour their riffs out of New Jersey weekend after weekend, emerges a band that puts on a performance as spontaneous and entertaining as their namesake. In every note and every lyric, their dedication and talent drenches an anxious and enthralled crowd, be it a private or public display. Neros roots lie in their home towns own The Outhouse, and they have rocked NJ venues such as Birch Hill Concert Hall, The Stone Pony, and Starland Ballroom.
Nero always has a way of surprising even the most uncompromising critics with their thorough execution of a variety of different sounds, and never fails to leave fans wanting more. Leaving an inimitable and thunderous mark brings this band high in its rank, pulling them far above the expectations for a high school-born band from the rather trite and calm confines of suburbia.
Mixing their captivating and powerful instrumentals with melodic vocals, Nero has succeeded in sustaining a sound all its own, and it's members continue rigorously to contend the accepted sound of most small town bands with something much more catching and memorable. Whether it is playing an acoustic set, or mixing in the flowing sounds of keyboard and other instruments uncommon to a rock band, Nero is always willing and ready to conquer and abolish any precedent placed before them; not in small, calculated increments, but by leaps and bounds. Big hopes and big dreams make all the difference for a small town band going somewhere. Nero continues to work to raise the bar in quality music, performance and conduct every step down the winding road of demos, albums and concerts toward success.
