The concept of a death metal project called War Bonnet was first suggested by Chaz (Kill Bot Joy/Puckered Starfish) around 2003 and finally started to come into fruition this fall of 2007 with the influx of brand new guitarwork by Anthony P.(Earthquirk Studios) who had been on hiatus since 2003's Shitkicker album.During this hiatus Anthony P. had amassed a pile of lyrics too dark to use for his solo work. Experimentation with a new guitar and one nice riff got him back into the groove of writing. After a month of putting together the guitar and drum tracks, he told Chaz he'd been working on new material that was heavier than anything he had done before. Chaz came down to Earthquirk Studios and after one vocal session on Moonlight Massacre, a song started to form and War Bonnet had officially begun.
