ENGINEERING AND PRODUCTION STAFFWhen Kris Comeaux is not busy playing drums and co-writing songs for his band Lorene Drive, he's in the studio striving to create amazing recordings. He’s been at it for almost a decade now and has worked on more than 50 projects in the last five years alone, building a vast knowledge of recording concepts. Lorene Drive’s success has given him the opportunity to work with several renowned professionals, including producer James Paul Wisner (Dashboard Confessional, Underoath, etc.) engineer Pete Thornton (shinedown), producer Michael "Elvis" Basquette (Chevelle, Incubus, Stone Temple Pilots, etc.) and engineer Dave Holdridge (Rage Against the Machine, etc). He served as an assistant engineer on Lorene Drive’s Wisner-produced debut “Romantic Wealth†(Lobster Records, 2005) and produced, engineered and mixed the follow-up “Out Alive†EP (Myspace Records/Broship, 2008). Among his many other credits are songs by Emanuel and Lorene Drive for the Fearless Records “Punk Goes Crunk†compilation, two full-length releases for Mad Marge and the Stonecutters, Primavera’s “A Fallen World†EP and the band’s upcoming full-length, Parle, Shipshape and Bristol Fashion, Bamboula, Shadows at Noon, Dreams of Reality, England and Me vs. Me, just to name a few.Kris Reilly’s performing and recording career spans 15 years. He started out as a vocalist/songwriter/guitarist for the melodic punk band Chuck in the 1990s. His interest in production was sparked when Chuck recorded two full-length albums, “Westward Ho!†(Fearless Records, 1997) and “Hulaville†(Lethal Records, 1995), working in big-studio environments with renowned producer/engineers such as Ryan Greene (NOFX, Lagwagon, etc.) and Jim Goodwin (Face to Face). He later worked as the head engineer at a commercial studio, recording everything from metal bands to gospel choirs. He now records and mixes at Alder Street whenever he’s not busy with his other career as a newspaper editor and freelance writer. Current projects include K.I.L., Seize the Silence and Closer to the Fall. He also does some pre-production and vocal co-production work with Comeaux, including the two latest tracks from Me vs. Me.Mike Manness began his music career as the leader of the experimental punk outfit The Getaway Sloths (which, at one point, featured Comeaux on drums and Reilly on guitar). Determined to make great recordings on his own terms, he started buying equipment and recording music in his home about eight years ago. He eventually decided to lease a commercial property and bring Comeaux and Reilly on board, thus creating Alder Street Recorders. In addition to recording, Manness is also a skilled electrician who modifies and builds guitar amplifiers. Current/recent projects include Seize the Silence, K.I.L., Joe Kid and the Gash, Closer to the Fall and others.
