Kung Fu Monsters

About Me

With a drums & bass backline that hailed from the Rockabilly/Psychobilly scene, guitars born from the rain-swept British seaside Indie circuit and a fiery, passionate vocalist with a love of classic 70's UK & American Punk, Kung Fu Monsters' sound was edgy, spiky, exciting and raw.

Penny Dreadful's unique voice soars over choppy punk riffs, urgent beats and pounding bass-lines to bring you hook-filled three minute stories full of energy, dark humour and raw honesty.

Somehow, despite sounding like they’ve come from a bygone era, they sound utterly contemporary as bands fall over themselves to get back to basics musically, and in the studio."

"Kung Fu Monsters are made up of ex-psychorockabilly band members and possess a domineering frontwoman who's on a mission to drag and mangle the vocal styles of Debbie Harry and Poly Styrene into a new form."
