About Me

I get my Free MySpace Layouts at LayoutStreet.com"If a composer could say what he had to say in words he would not bother trying to say it in music" (Quote By: Gustav Mahler). Such is the case, with Stack M.O.B, a Baltimore rap group that consist of 6 young artist who come from different backgrounds but similar ways of living. Their new mixtape Respect It or Check It Vol. 2 is a blend of raw talent at its best. You can hear the growth, hunger, passion and the dedication these 7 artist deliver. On this record you can play every track and vibe to the catchy concepts they rap about over industry instrumentals.Consisting of Merk Guttah, Streetz Sampson, Buck Block, Cleva The Kid, S.P., and Mic B who all grew in Baltimore City.Merk Guttah (22) Hails from Ashburton Street (Westside) the youngest son raised by a single mother and older sister learning life lessons on the streets from wise older people. Merk has been thru a lot and all he wants is his shine.Streetz Sampson(22) was born on Piedmont Avenue (Westside) but raised on Braddish Avenue (Westside). The middle child who lived with his mother, father, older brother and younger sister also stayed in the streets learning life lessons. His childhood was okay, but growing up becoming a teenager he dropped out of school and began living the street life. But, then changing his life back around and getting a diploma and chasing his life-long dream "music". He states "I was young and dumb as a teenager. I had a few chances to do something good for my life but I messed it up. I guess that's apart of life right?. Now I'm focused on my future and how I can become a billionaire."Buck Block(21), born in East Baltimore, but raised on the Westside. This young man was taught at an early age no to rely on anyone but himself. Growing up was hard being the only man in the household. So he had to take responsibility and be a man at a young age living life at a fast pace. Now things have slowed down since he had his son, working and taking care of his family.Cleva The Kid(22), raised on Baker Street(Westside). Living with his younger sister and single mother, similar to Buck Block had to be the man of the house at a young age. For Cleva life has its obstacles, becoming a teenage parent and struggling with everyday living. But he always kept his passion for music thru the thick and the thin.S.P.(23) was born on Piedmont Avenue moved to Braddish Avenue for () years and then moved to Baltimore County. Living with mom and pop as the only child out in the county sounds good doesn't it? Living it was totally different for S.P. Learning that you have to work hard for what you want. That's something he did well, working at radio stations, recording local artist, trying to get his name out there.Mic B(21) was born and raised in the projects of East Baltimore and then moved to Braddish Avenue(Westside) in high school. Raised by a close family of aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and siblings. Living with his single mother and older brother Mic B has seen a lot of things in his lifetime and he explains it all in his passion for music.Stack M.O.B was an unstable group the first year, because of emotion and lack of communication. But as time went past they began to learn each other and more about music and the politics behind it. Recording more than 3 albums worth of songs in one year showed those who didn't believe that they was ready for their chance to shine. Working with different people in the city and performing only 5 times so far, they are on their way to stardom.Respect It or Check It Vol 2. Is real life spoken in songs, catchy hooks, clever concepts and versatility. Each artist gets their shine on this record, with mixtures of verses and hooks and only a few whole tracks. Like "Money Maker" Merk, Streetz, Cleva and S.P. talks about mainly "women" and "haters" and how they are silly for coming in between their money.Stack M.O.B is still trying to find their spot in the industry where they belong, with their catchy songs and dedication for music. Inspired by many different people they all form an alliance that's powerful with potential to shine brighter then the brightest star. 2008 they will tell not only Baltimore but the the world their story and relations to everyday situations. Respect It or Check It Vol 2 is a record for every real person in the world who can relate to similar trials and tribulations as well as success.
