DJ Xchyler (sky-ler) started his music journey listening to a remix of Fun Factory’s Close To You back in 2003. Around the same time, Singapore’s underground Eurodance remixing team known as ClubStudio was formed. Xchyler then joined ClubStudio as one of their pioneer remixer.
Xchyler’s inspiration for deejaying started in 2006 after he discovered his dad’s extensive record collection in the storeroom. In 2007, he bought his very first pair of turntables despite the growing trend of CDJs.
Aside from being a remixer and disc jockey, he is also an sonic artist who has designed and recorded sounds for local short films and installation art. Xchyler likes to experiment with music and is always looking out for new and interesting sounds which he can incorporate in his mixes.
This year Xchyler has been making guest appearances, playing for models runway at Homeclub, Fashion Bar and Kandi Bar.
