Fondé en 1998 à Saint-Lô, par un caennais et un malouin, Casino Royale avait pour ambition de faire mordre la poussière aux Teaspoon, Mary et autres Spie Citron... En vain. Pourtant leur pop naïve avait un certain charme, entre Pastels et BMX Bandits. Le groupe n'apparut sur scène qu'une poignée de fois, dont une veillée de Le Verrier mémorable et un concert à Saint-Malo complètement improbable en première partie d'un groupe de Skate core ! Le groupe splitta suite à une lutte fratricide entre l'ego démesuré du guitariste et celui du chanteur... Un jour peut-etre viendra la reformation !
The band was formed in 1998 by two blokes who had never been in Saint-Lô before. Anyway, they wanted to beat the shit out of the local bands such as Teaspoon, Mary or the experimental Spie Citron... in vain. It's a shame because their naïve blend of noisy pop and cute melodies was charming. They only played a couple of times in public, everyone remembers their smashing performance at the High school's christmas ball, and their first big gig supporting a Skate core combo. The band split because of the Spectoresque ambition of the guitarist who didn't appreciate the new punk rock style the band was to adopt. One day maybe they will play together again !
