I'm a seasick sailor on a ship of noise

About Me

I'm a 24 year old Taurean, named after my father's two favorite Rolling Stones. I'm happily married to Sophia, and together we live in our cozy little home in northeast Cola. Our time is shared with our dog Morgan and our five kee kees Sebastian, Cleo, Basil, Cho-Cho and Mimi (listed according to age).
I make alot of music (too much for my wife to deal with sometimes) and as a result I'm often busy with that. I record/release under my own name (Brian Grainger) as well as several other monikers (Milieu, Coppice Halifax, Teenager, Pink Space, Vhom) and as if that wasn't enough I'm involved in a number of collaborations, the two most notable being VCV (with David Tagg) and Free Festival (with Brian Ellis).
I'm planning on going back to school this fall at USC for my music major, but for now I get by running three labels with my friend David Tagg (EED, SSR, Install) as well as maintaining a shop where I sell alot of my own music. When I have some free time, I like to play video games, read sci-fi short stories and sleep with nice ambient music on. I am also an obsessive audiophile and can often be found spending far too much money on Ebay/Discogs/etc for out of print vinyl. I'm an enthusiast of all things lossy/analogue, and I'm always looking for new ways to build my music room into a fortress of half-operational tapedecks, turntables, drum machines, effects pedals, radios and other small noisemakers/sound equipment of interest.
Aside from all my music-related-madness, I'm a firm believer in good food and wine as a means to end world suffering, and I've recently been getting more involved with photography now that Sophie's bought me a fucking awesome Holga CFN.
