About Me
To this budding musician, lead vocalist of the ever popular Matrix Band of St. Lucia, music is the air that he breathes! Elijah ‘Arthur’ Allain hails from the small town of Soufriere, where his musical influences abound all around him. On the international scene, he is influenced by the likes of Daville, Luciano, NeYo and Eminem. His genres of preference are Reggae, R&B, Soca and Rap. This self-motivated young man has within him a driving force which propels him to strive for the very best.He is determined to help sustain the music industry in the town of Soufriere, and with this aim in mind, helped form the Recording Group S.O.S (Sounds of Soufriere/Soufriere's Original Sound). This group consists of Arthur, Chris, Parker, and T-Bone. The group first got their chance to showcase their talent at Soufriere’s Jazz festival opening in 2007. Arthur repeated this magnificent occurrence at Jazz when he took the stage last year with Top Dawg member, ODawg when he blew away the crowd on 3 consecutive nights with songs such as "It's Okay", "Cud Never Leave u Alone", and "Ghetto Anthem" to mention a few. He is also a perpetual marvel at local resort "Ladera" when he takes the stage every Thursday with the Matrix Band, as well as frequent performances at World Class hotels such as Anse Chastanet Hotel, Coconut Bay, to name a few. Be sure to catch him performing during the carnival season, as he has graced the staged on many occasions at annual shows such as “Cooler Feteâ€, “RCI Party in the Yardâ€, and commanding the road for National Carnival parade, with the largest St. Lucian Carnival Band “Just For Fun†backed up by his band Matrix Band who have traversed the seas to New York, Dominica, etc to blaze the trail for huge crowds.Elijah is optimistic that he has a bright musical career ahead. His biggest opportunity came last year November when he took the stage alongside some of St. Lucia's top artists including Zionomi, Level4, etc, for St. Lucia’s largest strictly local concert, the annual TEMPEST show. Arthur brought exactly what the crowd was looking for as he gave an electrifying performance of his popular single “Just Enoughâ€, and also "I love you" with guitarist Jason Lovence. The Independence TEMPEST Lime also saw Arthur blaze the stage once again, as he performed a couple of his hit tunes including "Never Let u Go".He is the former director and alto/tenor player for the Recorder Band, as well as the Drama Club at the Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School, where he was awarded the 2007 Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. This young musician and songwriter has also produced amateur tracks for local artists in his community as well as most of his crew's very own tracks. Many have contributed to Elijah’s success thus far. He is greatly indebted to Mr. Christopher Fevriere, his former music teacher, who helped nurture and instil in him the knack for singing, arranging and producing music, 'Francis Delima', 'Patrice Regis', 'Christopher Hunte' all local producers, and not forgetting his family who continue to give him unconditional support. Elijah currently attends the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College where he is pursuing studies in Computer Systems Engineering, with the hope to go on to study Sound Engineering. This is certainly someone that St. Lucia and the world should look out for in the coming years. The sound which comes from his core is capable of captivating any audience! Look forward to being blown away by Elijah ‘Arthur’ Allain.
