After much acclaim from his shows last summer in Asia, DJ Stonnie is back... Gaining notoriety and experience as a professional DJ since his earlier years, his obsession with music motivated him to expand his skills from battling, to rocking the clubs, and eventually, to producing remixes and beats.
In early 2006, he gained further recognition after being given status as the music director and resident DJ at Club Bling- Shanghai's most upscale hip-hop night club. This club, with strong affiliations with Asia's top celebrities, DJ Stonnie was given a platform that gained him further exposure and acclaim for his turntabilism. With his successful residency at Club Bling, he then signed on with Jaded Productions, an advertising and PR company that holds strong networks and affiliations throughout Asia.
Building on his DJ skills, Stonnie began his music production life in 2007 and was soon invited to join AV8 records. After producing numerous hot hits, he then coalesced with the world famous Crooklyn Clan's remix site, www.Crack4DJs.net. Since then, he has been supplying remixes and party breaks for DJs around the world. In early 2008, Stonnie was invited to become an official member of the most selective and influential DJ group, Bumsquad DJs. In mid 2008, he also gained sponsorships from Native-Instruments: Traktor Scratch.
Stonnie's extensive experience in Asia allowed him to be well-known for his skills of reading and rocking any kind of crowd. During late 2006, he was appointed to be the official mixer and also the event mixtape producer for the Adidas NBA China Game. Stonnie became the official DJ for Nike and the Team USA Basketball Team during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. While working with Nike, he DJed for the most significant and important night club event in that summer: the exclusive Nike Party for Team USA NBA. Recently DJ Stonnie moved back to North America, though still operating as an international DJ. Currently he is based in Los Angeles and holds residency at Lax Hollywood.
