Benjamin 'BeN HeNrY' Edwards has been a professional musician specialising in the performance and teaching of the harmonica and percussion for the last eight years.
Benjamin studied music at Brunel University gaining a music diploma and a 2:1 BA Hons degree in Popular Music. He studied harmonica (the first in Brunel’s history) under the guidance of Brendan Power. Benjamin has been involved for 4 years with Live Music Now! and won a Youth Music award for his performance and education work with the project ‘Klektivo’ at the Vinny Green Secure Unit, Bristol.
Benjamin studied West African percussion in Mali, France and London and has worked with Burkina Faso griot Baba Kone in his band ‘Jeli Masa’ for 3 years.
Living in London, Benjamin continues to work as a session harmonicist for record labels, radio and TV work.
Recent tours include supporting Peter Gabriel (Real World Records) and Tom Baxter (EMI) with Charlie Winston (Real World Records, Atmospheriques.)
