About Me

Abacination: <[i>noun] Blinding by holding a red-hot metal plate before someone's eyes. I SEE THROUGH YOUR EGO
--
It's always been there. That feeling. It won't leave, it won't fade and certainly won't be forced out. From the inception and until the last breath is drawn, it shall remain. A testament to the spirit encompassed by these four young men. It's near impossible to truly grasp, yet simple to comprehend.
"Fuck you."
Abacination makes angry music for people who are sick of the constant bullshit they are fed every day through every orifice. Peers, the media, elders; they all play their part in holding true people from achieving their goals. As immature as it sounds, it's all you can say.
As members of now defunct thrash band MechanisM, guitarist Tom Bower and drummer Matt Bradley were getting tired of being dictated to. With limitations set on the music they could create because of the frontman's lack of desire to stray from thrash metal, they decided to jam together in Tom's shed, covering songs by artists such as Machine Head and Misery Index. From these sessions came riffs and the idea to form a new band. When MechanisM split, Matt and Tom jumped at the chance to finally create the music they wanted, recruiting Adrian 'AD' Morhulec, also from MechanisM, on bass duties. Long time friend, Gareth Croson filled the line-up as the second guitarist. It was to begin.
Surrounded by 3-chord-wonder pop punk, emo and classic rock bands, Abacination seized the opportunity to wow crowds with a blend of metal which was forged as a violent mixture of thrash, hardcore, death and grindcore. The first song they wrote, 'Demonstrate', is an aggressive middle finger to all those with ideas above their station, those who look down on others and those who pretend to be something they're not:
"Behind your smug grin lies a failure,
You wear a mask to compensate.
And if our paths cross, I won't hesitate,
To strike you down and demonstrate my hate."

The music is aggressive, their lyrics are venomous and their message is clear. The world is full of liars, cheaters and hypocrites that feed on the blind ignorance of others. Without the masses being pre-occupied with reality TV shows and celebrity sex scandals, these people would become exposed for what they are and become subject to a well deserved fall from grace. 'Modus Vivendi' encourages the masses to look around and realise what's happening in this decaying world:
"Murder, lies,
Why can't you open your eyes?
Scandal, wealth,
Why can't you think for yourself?"

Abacination are aware and they are angry. Far from being laughable nu-metal teen angst, Bower, Matt, Gaz & AD take a good look at the world we live in, take it in, chew it up and spit it out with ferocious intensity.
Will you listen, stand up and fight back?
Or will you fall to the wayside, in ignorant bliss and become part of the problem?
The choice is up to you.
Abacination know where they stand.
