About Me

I'm Erika. I'm currently pursuing an MPH in maternal and child health and should graduate in May 2009. An MD (family medicine) or PhD (epidemiology) will follow.

I'm the mother of a wonderful little boy named Tavin who is 6 years old. I also gave birth to boy/girl twins, as a surrogate mother, on June 16, 2006. :)
I'm a generally very happy person, cautiously optimistic, and I don't let things bother me for the most part. I'm pretty outgoing and don't care if I make a fool out of myself. The people I'm friends with at this point in my life are all wonderful. I really agree with that corny saying that life is mostly how you deal with the things that happen to you, rather than what actually happens.
I really like talking about science and medicine. I get seriously excited over those things, and I'm a big dork who reads her text books before classes start. I might be the only woman on the planet who will talk about bacteriophage while in bed. The best way to start my day is with coffee or tea and good company. You know who you are. :) I'm also a big fan of taking walks in nice weather and being carried over puddles piggyback-style.
I use facebook a lot more than myspace. ;)
I like living in Minneapolis, don't really have any reason to leave, and have many reasons to stay. ;)
