These days it’s hard to become a major hip hop artist. Being lyrical is not enough. You have to make up the complete package. You have to look the part, act the part, and be the part. The women have to love you and the men have to want to be you. You have to have that swagger, energy, attitude and talent all combined into one perfect package to make today’s rap star. And that’s exactly what up and coming artist R.E.L.I.C. brings to the hip-hop world.R.E.L.I.C. was born Shawn Milner 26 years ago in Long Island, NY. He grew up living in various parts of the world, having a father in the millitary gave him a chance to see other places outside of the New York life. He found his love for hip hop music at the age of 15 and began to write songs and develop himself as an artist. Over time he began to get into production of beats, writing and producing his own full length albums which totaled 25 to 30 tracks of all original material. "I could never afford to pay someone to make beats for me so i taught myself" R.E.L.I.C. says Even though these projects have not been released he says if he never got a major deal he could still say i have just as many albums done as jay-z or ludacris, just nobody ever gave me the chance to become who i strive to be.
In 2008 R.E.L.I.C. has many plans for himself and is determined to become the next household name in hip hop music. In 2008 he plans to release his debut album entitled "BLOODSPORT" and a mixtape with DJ LEX entitled "THE BLACKOUT" which will display his talent in all angles," I have love for the north and the south so my mixtape will relflect both sounds. These will be the first cd’s he has actually released.
Making beats and writing songs everyday, R.E.L.I.C. is sure to become one of the most exciting and forthcoming artist of 2008, "Determination will always bring you much success if you stay focused on your goals, and never let anyone tell you who you cant be cause nine times out of ten they just want your spot and wanna be in your position.
