-SWAGGER MUSIC- As the old saying goes, everything happens for a reason; so the events of August 25, 2005 do not just mark the end of one era, but marks the beginning of another. If it was not for the catastrophic events of Hurricane Katrina, Swagger Music, LLC may not exist. Katrina was the catalyst that brought two young entrepreneurs together to aid in the reconstruction of the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s music scene. It was through their mutual love of music, and desire to bring their hometown to prominence, that Kevin Kotula, 19 AKA K.O. and Tevaar Smith, 18 AKA TV formed Swagger Music, LLC in mid 2007. The two have hustled their way towards establishing a strong local buzz throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast. They, while being full time students and maintaining full time jobs, have managed to finance the purchase of CD manufacturing equipment, the foundation of a burgeoning line of merchandise and apparel, and have even began to build a home studio. Between the two, they have managed to give out 1500 plus mixtapes through local stores, internet downloads, and hand to hand distribution; sell over 150 plus pieces of Swagger Music apparel (ranging from t-shirts, hoodies, zip ups to fitted hats, etc.) at $15 to $30 a piece; and are in the process of creating the first prominent local artist based website (SwaggerMusic.Com). Through their relentless efforts, and never-ending pursuit of pushing the envelope of quality, the two have established a reputable and unmistakable brand loyal following. Swagger Music’s Crown and Crest have come to represent, cutting edge creativity, unparalleled hunger, an often mimicked swag, and unbelievable resiliency when confronted with adversity. If these two young go getters were given the opportunity to peruse their dream full time, with near unlimited resources, they, based on their track record, will undoubtedly provide a product that will not only succeed commercially, but also may succeed in altering the very sound of popular music.-FUTURE PLANS- Started recording of the first double disc mixtape released on the Gulf Coast Expand merchandise into a full Swagger Music clothing line Launch the most successful local artist based website on the Gulf Coast.
