Family Of Light

About Me

James of TucsonScene.Com and writer for Tucson Weekly writes...

...the opener tonight will freaking blow you away. Spearheaded by Stu from the Dusty Buskers and augmented by the harmonies of the lovely ladies of Silver Thread Trio, Family of Light is most ambitious project I’ve seen in town since Campo Bravo (or, of course, Golden Boots), featuring mandolins, strings, pedals steel, harmonica and a heavy helping of reverb. They‘ve posted some demos on their MySpace, which barely touches on the overwhelming experience of seeing them in a live setting, but the cut “The Salad Days” comes damn close. Listen to it by clicking on Family of Light. FOL play first, at 9:30, probably because it takes so long to set their gear up, but keep an eye on these kids.
