Sometime in late 2006, Mike and dustin started jamming with dustins cousin T.j. guitarist of belt buckle death sentence.At the time the wanted despratly to start some sort of band.At the same time, joes and mike branched off into their own ideas and started jamming togather.T.j. dustin and mike soon started what would be known as URINE SAMPLE.this would soon disolve leaving dustin and mike alone.Soon after they merged with joes and began working towards a new goal.Early 2007-2008 the band, just three, two guitars, and a bass (at the time dustin had no guitar, but was seen as a part of the band), began to seek the remaining members.Mike had suggested a few names before coming across Jeremy.The other members were unsure of his potential in the band, at the time the main musical knowledge came from mike, with influences like pantera, metallica and slayer.Soon the band would become something more,A death metal band. The band ran through many names before mike stumbled upon sarcophagus-which he got from the song by nile.Mike had already had 3 songs down and the others were learning them as well as jeremy getting into the lyrical process.Next we all needed to find a drummer.First on a very odd night, the band chipped in for a drumset, and a shady dude named collin showed up to a practice.First of all he couldnt drum nor set up a drumset.After that he was never seen again.Next was a guy called Austin, which we saw the same results from.One day after much despiration, Mike asked a guy Alex from school, if he wanted to come by and jam.The day after, Mike through Alex a band t-shirt, and said dude your in.Since then we have been a band, full and brutal.Late 2008-present After much conflict between members and many other problems, the band decided a change was greatly needed.the name had not fit at all, which was said by dustin and joes from the start.Mike began to write the latest lyrics, which had gone in a completely different direction.A name change was in the process.While lookin through an anatomy book, Mike stumbled upon the word Masticate.He began thinking until he yelled MASTICATOR!!!dustin and alex both looked and said, THATS IT...THATS THE NAME...recently, actually a week ago, Masticator was rejected from the school battle of the bands, this is souly because of the lack of understanding and respect for florida underground death metal.Anyways Masticator is due into studio in a few weeks for the tracking of their upcoming EP Premortem Autopsy.Monday, October 6th, jeremy was fired for being immature, and lack of commitment...three weeks before recording.Mike and alex are now doing vocals seen through the eyes of the band stay brutal-Mike and MasticatoRfirst show clips
