About Me

So, I'm currently just jamming in the basement of a friend's house in Colts Neck, and we spend a few hours on Sunday rockin' with some classic rock covers. We hope to get a couple of sets together and get tight enough to play out, but in the meantime we're stictly doing it for ourelves. My previous band, The Knuckle Sandwiches, were in existence during 2004-05. The song posted in the SoundClick Audio Player below, "Too Good Lookin" was one of our quirky originals. Also in the player is another original "Vertigo Whirlwind", which was written by our drummer Jon Laprade. The other songs in there are some of my faves at SoundClick.com, a great site to find new music and more manageable than MySpace. I'd like to post some new tunes of mine here, but I just don't have the time to write these days. With a wife, a baby, a job, etc...who has time for anything?Check out my favorite songs on SoundClick.com, and feel free to go to SoundClick and add a station to your profile. My Interests

Band Website: http://www.soundclick.com/theknucklesandwiches
Band Members: On "Too Good Lookin' (to rock and roll)": Steve - lead vocals, AC - bass and backing vocals, Jon - drums and backing vocals, Will - guitar and backing vocals
Influences: My influences run the gamut, from British Invasion rock to singer/songwriters of the 70's to traditional blues based and guitar driven rock n roll. I grew up in Jersey, which means my main musical influence begins and ends with Bruce Springsteen -- and his cronies Robbin Thompson, Southside Johnny, Miami (Little) Steven, etc. Lately I've been inspired by the things that My Chemical Romance and Emerson Hart have done...yes, that's quite a combination. Other faves incude Better Than Ezra, Dash Rip Rock, Cowboy Mouth, Cheap Trick, Kiss, Elvis Costello, Stones, Beatles, The Band, Liz Phair, and AC/DC. In between, I love well written songs and anything that rocks!

So, Dan Fogelberg passed away earlier this week.  He was 56 years young, and had been fighting a very advanced form of prostate cancer since 2004.  It's always sad when we lose a great songw...
