DJ THONIC first stepped behind a set of turntables in the spring of 2005. He was very impressed with the Prague Club scene at the time, but being a clubber wasn’t enough. He bought himself an old set of turntables, a few records, and he began to master his technique. Completely self taught, and driven by his own feelings he found and developed his own style. After a few months he starting playing in small cafes and clubs celebrity café, tiziano, koruna bar, al capone...) where gained experience and slowly began to emerge on the dance scene. In January 2006 he received an offer to play with his colleague and friend, DJ Sammy Lee, in Vertigo Music Club, where they are residents for the Triangle parties. At the same time he began to be a part of smaller parties (Open air Triangle summer night) which people react to very positively. At the end of 2006, DJ THONIC accepted an invitation from Chris Sadler to be a part of his Dance Extasy radio show on radio Fajn, where he introduces his own hour sets.
In 2007, DJ THONIC was a special guest at numerous club in CR including Event, Perpetuum, Fabrique and had the opportunity to play with DJs Angel Charlie a David Monoszon at one of the most attended parties in Prague, Olympia in Club Mecca. He is now a resident at the trendy and posh River Club – Obcanska Plovarna. Partnered with the next generation of Prague DJs Tripmain and Mark Horn, he performed at the Trend 2010 party odyssey, which presents a new wave sound which is gaining the attention of the majority of Prague’s most demanding clubbers.
DJ THONIC belongs amongst those DJs that are not afraid to mix various styles together, resulting in a very original and personal style, which is the basis for his sophisticated mixes which originate from his own moods. The masses can hear him play house, electro and progressive musical styles. However, there will always be other styles incorporated into his sets.
