The Daylight Brigade is like the unscrupulous art collector in a 1970's heist movie: smoky glasses, shrimp-colored stucco, and a whole lot of taste. Everything but the taste thing is a metaphor. Because deep down, The Daylight Brigade doesn't wear sunglasses or even own an ugly stucco mansion in Miami. But we do have a lot of talented friends who make art. The Daylight Brigade is a way to connect these artists and encourage them to share ideas and work on projects together. And then we give them a platform so that we can all check on their progress. So far, we've worked on songs, movies, plays, 2-D art, books, and robot caricatures. The hope is that one day, this art will be worth a lot of money, and it'll inspire some poor Hollywood screenwriter to write a script about a band of loveable thieves who use a couple Mini Coopers to steal the entire Daylight Brigade collection. That's who we're looking out for—that one lone screenwriter. If we can change his life, we can change the world. If not, then we're screwed.
We host semi-regular omnibus creative shows at jj's cafe featuring music, art, and movies we've been working on. The next one will be sometime in the future, so don't worry. You haven't missed it yet.
