Davide Piersanti

Trombonist, improvisors, composer, (it also plays guitar, electric bass and percussions), devoted above all to the improvisation in his varied forms, interested to investigate the alternative sounds of the trombone, to the contemporary jazz writing and the meeting among different artistic languages. He 's active professionally, in varied musical circles from the jazz, free improvisation, to the etnic music. In the 1998 he founds Taraf orchestra balcan music ensemble, giving with it almost 300 concerts road to Italy and realese 2 cd. In this period he has collaborated whit artists coming from other musical roots: Nour-Eddine Fatty, Jamal Ouassini, (maghreb and arab-andaluse music), Lula Pena (Lusitan Fado), Abu Dougu Bakr (afro). Subsequently he growns up into practice of improvised music. Besides he played or collaborated with: Butch Morris, Gino Robair, Jack Wright, Ab Baars, Ig Henneman, Eugenio Colombo, Eddie Henderson, Mike Cooper, Paul Hubweber, Alvin Curran, Lullo Mosso, Pasquale Innarella, Roberto Bellatalla, Burkard Beins, Daniel Carter, Steve Swell, Gianfranco Tedeschi, Michael Zerang, Mazen Kerbaj, Sharif Sehnnaoui, Raed Yassin, Luca Venitucci, Fabrizio Spera, Michael Thieke, Cristiano De Fabritiis and others. He Ever plays with the Collettivo Angelo Mai, with which has recorded the cd "Volume1" (Fiori Rari 2006). In 2006 he has recorded in some extemporaneous music and songwriters CD’s like guest. He collaborates with many improvisors of the Roman and Milanese area and with Jazz bands. He collaborates with the Italian Butoh's dancer Alessandro Pintus. In 2005, he organized the review of improvisation and contemporary music Laya-muzik. He played in many festival such as: “Rumori Mediterranei” XXIII International Jazz festival of Roccella Jonica(2003) Il Suono dell'Istante 2006, Controindicazioni xx edition (2006), Italian Jazz rebels 2004, Nuova Consonanza 45 edizione, etc. He composed music for theatrical shows, short film/reportage and interdisciplinary projects: Cantiere Organico1996, Polytechnic Theater in Rome; Company Hourglass Theather IT/UK, etc.
