Band Members:Born and raised in Memphis TN, I grew up playing R&B with my family "Reba and the Portables". Memphis was a magical place to learn to play the guitar, with all the blues influence embeded in the city. The level of play grew after seeing bands like Full Devil Jacket, Dust for LIfe, Primmer 55, Saliva, Egypt Central, just to name a few, get signed and leave out to go off and tour. That left many musicians , including myself, ready to do whatever it takes to get out there and do the same thing.I am a Hard Rock, Metal guitarist with a strong blues and progressive influence. My listening ranges from Pink Floyd, Tool, Lamb of God, to Hindrex, Stevie Ray, Jopplin, and the list goes on. I try to take my influences and interpret them into my own ideas and phrasing and create modern licks and grooves.As for gear, i prefer to tune down to drop C. I play a Custom S series Ibanez and a Dean Flying V through a Peavey Tripple X 120 watt tube head, Tripple X cab, little compression, Dunlop wah, Samson wireless, and a few other unmentionables. The tunning is always open to change.
Influences: First and most important " MY DAD " Mike Russell, The Greatest Musician in the World Hands Down, My Uncle Wayne, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Tool, Pink Floyd, Alice in Chains, Robin Trower, Jimmy Hindrex, James Root, ZZ Top,Steve Vai, and the list goes on.
