About Me

Deadright is a political ska/punk band dedicated to both revitalizing and reforming what was once punk rock. There are too many bands today who string together lyrics about meaningless emotional drivel and are mislabeled as being punk. It is these bands which have been embraced by the mainstream, as well as great corporate entities; they serve no purpose to music as a form of expression except to promote the larger agenda of the music industry. The music we stand for has and will always be an expression of revolution and progression; so while others may be in it for the money, what we do is for ourselves, and those who can find meaning and worth in our music. We strive to bring attention to the critical social and political issues of our time. Chris and I have been playing music together since our sophmore year of highschool and the band has seen many changes since then. We are greatful to finally have a solid drummer with us, Kayla Hofius. Deadright was originally called Facial Nathan, then Skirt, and soon changed to The Reme Meck Experience. Things continue to move forward and we welcome both the challenge and the change. Enjoy,deadright
