Glass Doll bio
GLASS DOLL was conceived by L.D. Catastrophe. The three-piece combines art-damaged rock with damaged art music, stories of self-doubt and horror with stories of self-pleasuring and glamour. You call it "WHAT?" We call it "The GLASS DOLL."
A little history. Drummer J-Lo joined the band at a CBGB's performance in 2006 headlined by Buffalo's very own The Rabies. No relation to the famous mujer con cadera cula , his rhythmic mastery is to the liking of nightclubbers, shoegazers, and waltzing ghosts alike. The final ingredient was added earlier this year when moonlighting vampire-violinist Sedge joined up, bringing her perfectly shaped f-holes and arsenal of pedals to the G*D. Now "the electric guitar," as the kids call it, is truly irrelevant.
Out of this heady brew, GLASS DOLL is born into this world--to paraphrase David Lynch--like a screaming mass of blood, meat, and hair. We are here to take you over, one glitterati and one guttersnipe at a time.

Sounds Like: We've been told we bear some degree of similarity to bands and artists such as The March Violets, Specimen, Malice Mizer, My Bloody Valentine, David Sylvian, Pierrot, Muse, Stiffs Inc., Sex Gang Children, Roxy Music, Noir Fleurir, Sparks, Placebo, Vinett, Bauhaus, SPEED-iD, Slowdive, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sleep My Dear, Joy Division, Thursday, Shazna, Plastic Tree, Nick Cave, Japan, Interpol, Fugazi, Radiohead, Echo and the Bunnymen, Rozz Williams, The Cure, Tom Waits, Elastica, Lush and somehow strangely..... all of the above at the same time, yet none in particular! Simply put.... we sound like Glass Doll. And what does that sounds like? Well....
