Ethos is a great group to be around as you explore your own faith here in Austin. Mainly, we're a group college students and young adults who know we don't have it all figured out, but love the idea of getting to know God a little more each week. We have several students from UT, ACC, St. Ed's, Concordia, and even TX State hanging around with us. We meet every Tuesday night at 8:00 at LA ZONA ROSA and are open to anyone who considers themselves "college-aged" (which is pretty flexible) regardless of whether you are attending a university or not.
I know you're thinking, "Alright, thanks for the info... But that still doesn't explain what on earth 'ethos' actually means." Good point. Let me take a shot at it.
Ethos is the fundamental spirit or character of a culture. The ethos of a group informs their beliefs and decisions as they pursue life together. Ethos is what happens when many individuals make autonomous choices that create a unified movement. Essentially, ethos isn't what is written in a mission statement... it's the common passion that we live out even when we're not together.
We're not just an event on Tuesdays. Ethos is who you decide to be when you walk away.
You are ethos. Help us write history on your campus and in this city.
