The Oafish But Lovable Jew and Friends

About Me

i like sound and space, and the way they sometimes go together. underneath small bridges. talking to speakers and speakers talking back. dissonance and whisper tones. the friends are important for creating all the sounds one brain doesn't hear. some of my favorite instruments to play are ripe watermelons, ukulele, flutes in water and the rockenspiel.
so sad animals is finally done! well, the music, not the artwork/packaging. keep your eyes peeled in the coming months for the official release (and release party, maybe?). there may be some t-shirts, too...
contributions from the following fantastic musicians: jake leckie (bass/percussion), josh shapero (sax/flutes), eve risser (flute/theremin/megaphone/vox), emma stanley (trumpet), rachel gawell (cello), andrea cassarubios (cello), alan munshower (percussion), nathan ellman-bell (percussion), joel grip (vox), jon cylus (percussion) and ryan dorsey (percussion) (as a quick side note, a number of these people lent their vocal chords to the choir for The Little Red Hen, Part 1). and me, of course (dani simmonds, vox/ukulele/guitar/percussion/piano). i hope you enjoy it!
