Ramka D-Joy, who is known as Rachel has been promoting herself with help and support by people who either had the same desire, or just understood where she was coming from- share music with the world.
At the age of only 5years, she started performing at private parties and weddings, putting a smile on everybody's face in the room. Featured by her father, Samuel Richard Arhin, who was a former member of a group in the 80's called "The Soulful Dynamics" she got even more motivation and energy to contribute and make someone's special occasion even more special.
She would bring her little self on stage, pretending to be a grown artist and performed.At the age of 11 Ramka started to write lyrics, but didn't have no beats to work with, so all she relied on was her mind and the melodies she caught in the air. In 2003, when she had turned 14 a member of a group called TMC approached her n asked her whether she wanted to be a part of them and work together. The group was based on 4 male rappers and one female rapper & RnB singer. So as she joined the group, she was the second girl.
They practised on a regular basis, focusing on what they could do better and they got to show how good they were when they got Hamburg's attention at a big performance, which was at the same time vs. another group. But the group didn't last long, as they individually didn't bond the way they should and as they had differences.
That was also the time when Ramka realised, that she had to be a solo artist.In 2005, she moved to London at the age of 16 to study. It didn't take her long, till she met a producer by the name of Chucky from Chunky Fox Records. She gave him an accapella and from then started recording with him. Since then, Ramka is working on her first solo album which will be coming up soon.Also there will be an official website soon, where you will be able to listen to parts of the album and watch her latest video coming up.Ramka is again in a moving process, but this time to New York City in order to pursue the best she can in making her dream come true.
