About Me

found this retro layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com :: MyHotComments
My name is Vince Lichlyter and I'm 32 years old. I have been married to my wife, Andrea, for ten years and we have two kids - Jonah and Jadyn. I was adopted at the age of 3, ran away at 13, and almost ended it all at 19, before I found Christ.
I was introduced to the Lord when I was 19 in Wickes, AR. (A little bitty town of 500 people) It was quite a culture shock for me since I had moved to Wickes from Seattle, WA in the winter of 1993.
I became a youth pastor a few years later, and served in that capacity for almost three years. I believe that season of my life was to show me just exactly what church leadership has to go through on a day to day basis.
Since then, I have been in music full time. I was signed as an artist six years ago with Jonah33, the band I am currently in. Traveling the world, God has opened my eyes to many things, including His disgust for the "spirit of religion", His desire for people to come to know Him, and what exactly His grace does and doesn't mean.
I met Jay Gresham a few years back at a church my family had attended. On an interesting note, the worship leader of that church actually said, “It would be a bad idea for Gresham to hook up with Vince. They would start too much trouble!"
Well, we did hook up, shared many thoughts, ideas, concerns and frustrations about the church, and we sincerely believe that God has placed us together for a few reasons; the main one being that we are both called with our own unique gifts to remove scales from peoples' eyes. Are we any more educated or closer to God than the next guy? Probably not! We are merely tools with some talents and a heart that says, “YES” to His voice.
I am Jay Gresham, I am 33 years old and I live in Northwest Arkansas with my wife of 13 years, Melissa and our two children J.T.,10 and Claira, 7.
I am currently the Founder/Director of Bighouse Youth Outreach, Inc., a free outreach program for teens. Ugly ones, pretty ones, fat ones, skinny ones, smelly ones and yes, obnoxious ones. They all come to be loved and accepted. I try to spill God’s love onto these teens and some are falling in love with our Father and others are on their way. But I will be the first to admit I have problems!!
I was raised in the church, which you might think would’ve helped. Instead, I grew up in the “club”. That’s what it was to me, just another merit badge for my cool sash.
Christianity was a shallow clique which had perks of free pizza and new chicks to meet. Nobody I knew was a “radical wild eyed Jesus follower”…NO ONE! All the while, I never felt that this was all there was to Christianity.
I started a painfully long journey of seeking the true nature of God. After 24 years of knowing about God I gave up trying to figure God out and finally started to experience God and His furious love.
I am not a theologian or a scholar, just a broken soul seeking to share the undeserving grace of God with all. I would consider myself recklessly passionate, so be for-warned, expect the unexpected!!
