About Me

WHAT THE REVIEWERS HAVE SAID.........................
The thing I loved about Barrio Kingdom the minute I saw them, and began to listen to their music, was how everything about them howled out ‘Bristol’ to me in an instant. This band, though as much from Bristol as all the previous acts, seem to have encapsulated the essence of the city they love more than any other. The reason why is difficult to explain. It could be many reasons, but I believe it’s the guttural hard hitting ‘umph’ you get the minute they begin that makes me believe it. Basically, this band has balls. With an incredibly accomplished set of musicians, cohesive in all respects.
It’s impossible not to get up and dance to this band, or dislike them. You have this sense that they know what they want, and how they can get it, and won’t give up on finding it. If I wanted to see a band that defined all the elements of the city I lived in, being Bristol, this is the one. You can’t help feeling you have stumbled on a band that lives and breathes it completely and can reflect it back at you with real guts in a way you can enjoy and dance to. What could be better? Go see them. They will rock your ass off.
