Born in Dulwich S.E London, attended Kingsdale Comprehensive. Soon realized I had no talent for academics - shit that was so boring... except when Kirk did the 'Oh mas Charlie' at the back of the history class, which was very disruptive, but so funny. I realized i had an organic attraction to music, and was always chosen to demo during music lessons. Went on to learn to play the tuba, the drums, the trumpet - none to a high standard; I gave them up because they wanted me read music (didn't make sense to me). I played in the school steel band at the age of 11 with sixteen year olds (youngest to do so) and did a few performances at the Fairfield Halls. Suppose that was the first taste of performance orientated music. I left school not knowing quite what I wanted to do. Went through several jobs, crap ones. Moved into Wimbledon YMCA (I'm not religious!) and met up with a friend of the dance group Double Trouble, who got me into the studio to toy with the idea of producing. While doing this I appeared on the television program Kilroy, to talk about pursuing dreams. By that point i had developed a keen interest in "music" and talked about one day running a record label. The show caused a slight ripple: I was approached by several people and subsequently did a documentary for channel four; did sessions with Level 42 and also Robin Scott ("Talk about, Pop Music"); and signed to a new label, T.O.T - Temple of Truth. I released a string of releases back in 1992-1994. Then, while letting loose on various dance floors (Release the Groove @ The Loft, Wax) started producing music off the back of the dwindling acid house scene. Influenced by people like Eddie Richards, Kid Bachelor, Mr C., Carl Craig, The Window Smashers and Stick, I started to develop along with others what is now known as tech house, and through production I began to DJ. This has taken me to most parts of the world: some exotic some not so exotic; some hot some cold; some rich some poor. One thing i have found is that when you follow this music people fundamentally are the same: A little be weeehy, a little bit woooh, and love to communicate through music... its great. I have released over 70 12" on more than 15 labels including my own (Outa the Blue and Conceive); remixed over 30 tracks; appeared on countless compilations mix albums, Carl Cox, Eddie Richards, Kenny Hawks, Terry Francis, Tom Paris, Fabric... While still DJing I am actively studying for my UEFA B professional license in Coaching Football and am head coach of an under 17s Premiere Elite football club. I would like to get involved in developing recording artists. I also aim to work full time at an academy for elite young football players in the near future.
