Situation Mine

About Me

Our music is decidedly rock, influenced by a multitude of styles but mostly by the textured edge of the Seattle music scene. Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots are just a few of the inspirations. But Situation Mine isn't just a tribute band to a legacy genre, we have fresh take on the tried and true to give it a unique, yet familiar, classic and modern sound. The music ranges from bluesy grooves with a Bonham back beat, to hint of funk frolic ala Peppers, to a dash of pop with hooky rock to get heads nodding and bodies moving - to a full on avalanche of raging angst. Careful thought has gone into lyrical content with the intention for the songs to be explored on many levels. No political diatribes here, but much contemplation on the human condition without being overly dour with just a sprinkling of social commentary. Don’t like it too serious? Don’t despair, there are songs with a playful spirit here as well. All in all, Situation Mine is enraptured by music and that passion comes across through a variety of beats, feels and flavors. We try not to bite off too much but we do like to spread the love around.
