About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorWhat to say...it's taken me a few years to fill this section out and i still don't know where to start. I can be quiet and outgoing both, depending on the time. I like to read, watch movies and hang out with friends. I have a dry sense of humor that some people can't quite get...myself and my sister both.I just moved to Denver on a whim, which is very unlike me. I'm a pretty grounded person but every few years or so i do something very uncharacteristic, such as packing my stuff up, leaving my job and moving to another state where I don't know anyone.I like meeting new people but oftentimes I'm a lot more reserved when meeting new people. So people I just met don't know what to think at times when they see me around my friends at home, because I feel comfortable and get to just be me.I would like to take up writing and publish something, but I never get around to actually writing things! I put down all my ideas and even details for stories, but never get around to starting. Maybe someday right?!Oh. I can be very quiet...but if you get me going! My mother once told me I talked faster than any Texan she ever met. It was funny. I don't have much of an accent and talk fast, yet I was born and raised there. Also, you can ask Jenny (one of my friends), I ramble a lot. It's gotten funny because I'll notice I'm doing it and then usually stop and comment on it...which I just realized is exactly what I'm doing right now!!! Lol. Wow.That's it for now I guess...Oh, I like to travel around with a stuffed animal bunny and take pictures of him all over the world...it's an involved story!!!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who don't feel they have to impress others or put on a show. People who are respectful. I get the idea of not being "constrained" by the opinions of others, but sometimes I think that's just a good excuse to not care about anything besides your own wants.People who love video games, books, movies, the mountains, getting to know others and of course (if you've read the blogs), people who like stuffed animal bunnies!!! (Yes, i'm quirky too)

Music:

Recently started listening to Snow Patrol, The Fray, Imogen Heap, Gavin Degraw, Breaking Benjamin, Teddy Geiger, 30 Seconds to Mars, Need to Breathe and Hinder. Also like Maroon 5, John Mayer, Go West, Josh Groban, Celine Dion, Linkin Park, Nickelback, 3 doors down, Vertical Horizon, Josh Groban. And yes, I still have my backstreet boys cd!!! Lol. Oh, and as my friend Jenny just reminded me Journey rocks, plus Chicago are really good too.I like a little bit of everything, have pretty eclectic listening tastes. I have a movie score kick...always loved well orchestrated movie music. I have about 300 movie scores likely...haven't counted in a few years...

Movies:

Some more movies I like or have seen recently, Flags of our Fathers, Serendipity, Sweet Home Alabama, The Count of Monte Cristo, Transformers the Movie, V for Vendetta, Kingdom of Heaven, IQ, The Replacements, Shawshank Redemption. Too many to list...but here's a few more. Gladiator, Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, The Last Samurai. Just to name a few of my favs. I love just about any type of movie...action, fantasy, sci/fi, drama, comedy, romance...if it is good, it is good. Epics are obviously some of my most loved, if you can't tell.

Television:

I don't watch much T.V. anymore, here are some things I used to watch. Star Trek (all of them, though DS9 was my fav) Babylon 5 Nowhere Man (the most underrated show on the planet) Buffy the Vampire Slayer Angel The Amazing Race (I think I should be on that show...) Stargate Atlantis ...notice a theme? Doesn't mean I don't like other shows...but I rarely have time to watch tv, so I have to be choosey.Oh...Reno 911 is hysterical, and most things on comedy central I don't mind sitting down for...

Books:

David Weber may have taken the title for my favorite author. He's a genius. Robert Jordan, Terry Goodking, George R.R. Martin, Raymond E. Feist, Anne McCaffrey, R.A. Salvatore, Orson Scott Card, Tolkien, Elizabeth Hayden...to name a few authors.

Heroes:

hmmm...anyone who ever came to the restaurant I worked at and called me by name and not "hey you". I wear a goofy freaking name tag...might as well read it and say it. If you snap, I automatically don't like you. Polite, honest, sincere people...and anyone who can hold their breath for over 2 minutes...People who would rather be fair than win. Also, to the U.S. soldiers across the globe, firemen, doctors, policemen and all other people who risk their lives or spend their time saving them. Thank you. For what you risk, sacrifice and give each and every day to help others. God Bless you all.
