Greenman

About Me

Greenman started writing songs when he was eleven and was in his first band at 12 in Romford, England as lyricist and lead vocalist. After studying playwriting, poetry and literature in high shool, he went on the road, traveling around America for the next seven years, hitchiking, jumping freight trains, Greyhounds and occasionally an Amtrak, Greenman lived a rainbow, whirling dervish, nomadic, gypsy life, sleeping in tents, under the stars, caves, the side of the road and occasionaly friendly people's couches. During this time he learned to strum the guitar and channeled over 100 songs. After circling the country a few times and making forays into Canada and Mexico, he gave up the transient existence to settle down in Honolulu, Hawaii where he found himself married and living a conventional lifestyle. In 2007, his wife left him and he rediscovered his true love, music. Though still obscure in the local music scene, watch out for appearances at bars, coffeehouses and taverns. Check this page for upcoming gigs.
