Genosha’s Rebellion (RIP)

The Band
Here it is. Genosha's Rebellion started as a labor of love from five individuals in late fall of 2007. Chris Nemeth (guitar), Greg Negrete (vocals), Jason Hernandez (vocals and Keys), Martin Ortega (bass), and rounded out by DJ Azcona (drums). We want to prove ourselves by our musical abilities. This is what we love to do and all we want to do. We strive to be better at the art form and put all of our emotion and love into the music you hear. We all have different influences and will show them in the music.
History
Every member has been in and out of bands from when we were just little guys. We all live in Northwest Indiana and have been involved in the local music scene. We met through school, friends, and other bands. Basically Greg met Julio and Martin when they were freshmen in high school. Forming a friendship very quickly. A little after they met Jason through a mutual friend. When Greg went to a different school he met Chris. And of course Chris met the other guys. At that time Julio and Martin formed a band and Jason formed a band with Chris. After a few months Martin left his band and moved to Florida to be with family and Greg joined his band but not replacing Martin. As bands do both broke up. Juilo focused on his art work and Jason went on in several bands meeting DJ along the way. Greg and Chris formed a band as well but broke up in a matter of months. Martin moved back to Indiana and formed a band with Julio again and they would jam with Chris and Greg in their spare time. Now the fun begins. When Julio and Martin saw that their band was not really going the way they wanted they decided to start somthing new. And in a drunken good time at the bar Greg, Jason (who had wanted to be in a band since they knew each other) Chris, Martin, and Julio Decided to form a group. Genosha's Rebellion was started. With a different drummer we wrote our first songs for a couple of months. Then for personal reasons Jason quit. In this frustration the drummer quit as well. Everyone took a break for a few months after this. Then in yet another drunkin stuper at the bar Jason told us that he was better and was ready to start again. With this the band got DJ and started writing new material and began playing shows and becoming the band you hear and see live. After about six months things started to get shaky with Julio and he was asked to depart from GR. A few months later Jason felt that he had to part ways with Genosha as well. Shortly afterwards we parted ways, deciding it was best to move on to different projects.
