Hello! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my profile. My name is John and I live in a small town called La Jose (pronounced: Lay Joes). I also live in the sticks. For those of you who are not familiar with the term "sticks," I offer the following definition...
sticks (n): an EXTREMELY rural area where your closest neighbor is five miles away and the nearest grocery store is at least ten miles away.
Let's try and use it in a sentence-- I have a dial-up connection because I live in the sticks.

I am an average guy who enjoys making others laugh. I have a goofy, off-the-wall sense of humor. Just ask any of my friends or family...they will tell you that I missed my calling as a comedian! :)
I also enjoy talking to all different types of people. I like to hear about other peoples' opinions, thoughts, and ways of life. There is SO much we can learn from each other on this Earth if we are only willing to open our minds!

My Interests

I enjoy reading, listening to my iPod, watching TV, renting or buying DVDs, sleeping, and smoking. I know, I know...Yes, I am a bit of a health nut. lol

I like being around my family--especially my cousins. They are all such amazing people! They are funny, smart, and caring. I have so many great memories with all of them.

I also enjoy spending time with my "extended family"--Carrie, Eric, Keeks, Stacy, Shawn, Wendy, Allison, Josh, Alex, Carolann, Donnie, Meganne and her twisted sisters!

I like some modern music--pop, rap, hip-hop, and R&B. However, my main passion in music belongs to the 70's and 80's. I really believe that some of the best music ever made came out of these two decades!

Movies:

COMEDY: Just Friends, The Wedding Singer, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Airplane!, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Bring It On, Seems Like Old Times, White Chicks, Anchorman, and Moving Violations.

ACTION/DRAMA: Charlie's Angels, The Butterfly Effect, Paycheck, Dragonfly, and Identity.

ROMANCE: Love Story and The Notebook.

HORROR: The Exorcist, The Amityville Horror (70's version), Children of the Corn, Silence of the Lambs, and Cujo.

SCI/FI: The Black Hole, Star Wars (I-VI), and Spiderman (1-3).

Television:

SITCOMS: The Big Bang Theory, Samantha Who?, Yes Dear, The King of Queens, and That 70's Show.

Books:

I mostly read horror novels. I love books by Stephen King! Some of my favorites are: It, Cujo, Carrie, Firestarter, and Pet Semetary.

I also enjoy reading John Saul's books. My two favorites are: The Unloved and The Unwanted. VERY CREEPY!!!

However, my favorite book of all time has to be by J.D. Salinger--"The Catcher In The Rye." Oh, Holden, what a mess you were...lol :)

Heroes:

According to Merriam-Webster Online, a hero is, "a: a mythological or legendary figure often of divine descent endowed with great strength or ability b: an illustrious warrior c: a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities d: one that shows great courage..."

For me, there are two heroes in my life...God and Jesus. Without them, I am nothing...
