New Machine Reviews and news...

Jan 1, 2009 6:20 PM Your song "You Don't Care" is in The Best of Robkast 2008 part 2.Robert, The Netherlands www. robkast.nl

“If you want an album that doesn’t play any games, but simply ROCKS, then New Machine is it. I better see some lighters being held high out there in the audience for this one! “- We Heart Music.com

“Solid and unassuming, yet deceptively addictive, this is a hard rock album worth hearing.” - Metalstorm.eu

“V-Project’s New Machine CD, Ambitious, Atmospheric, Dramatic, Eccentric, Outrageous!” - Robkast Radio, The Netherlands

“I like this CD very much, especially ”Somebody Like You” and “ You Don’t Care”. The production is good and the ..guitar playing great.” - Music Producer, Tom Werman (Cheap Trick, Ted Nugent, Motley Crue)

“V-Project is exactly the kind of music we give airplay!!! - CFOR Pur Rock 99.3 FM

“The New Machine works! These are great tunes for a backyard barbecue!” - Home-of-Rock.com, Germany

“I think Vaccaro has hit pay dirt with the fittingly titled New Machine. Go ahead take a ride, you’ll love it. - Metronome Magazine, Boston

“V-Project is a solid disc, with some very good guitar work, and excellent vocals.” - Hard Rock Hideout.com

“V-Project’s dedication and homage to past greats sets them apart on the indie scene and allows them to be fresh without repetition as they deliver a great feeling form of music." - The Celebrity Cafe.com

“All the songs are great with at least half going into immediate rotation on my playlist.” - 24Rock.net

"Vaccaro is willing to wander a little avoiding the color by numbers approach thus making the New Machine familiar yet fresh." - Mike Debbage, HardRock Haven.net

“This band contains two veterans of Rock, excellent musicians - guys who know what the real stuff is all about!” - Metal To Infinity.com

"I receive hundreds of beautiful-sounding CDs full of sensitive, expert musicianship, all gorgeously recorded, mixed, and mastered on the best equipment with the finest touch. But so much of it is all the same: affectless shout-rock, or sensitive boys without the songwriting chops to match their performance skills. I'd much rather listen to V-Project." - Blog-Critics.com

"All the songs on this release really rock. There's nothing over the top and it's just really good music that is well produced. It's got a really good 70's/80's vibe to it. That's when music was really fun to listen to and this CD brings that fun back to the listener." - Rocknetwebzine.com

David Vaccaro

It’s been such a long time, as the song says, but now with the release of V-Project’s second CD titled New Machine, V-Project is back! This time plugged in, amped up, and ready to give fans the full-on guitar oriented melodic rock that so many have asked for.

With a tip of the hat to the 1970’s era of bands from Aerosmith to Zeppelin, V-Project has chosen the tried and true blues-rock formula as the fuel that powers the New Machine CD. It is melodic, album-oriented rock that has been overhauled and retrofitted for the new millennium, all the while remaining true to the guitar oriented AOR style that V-Project comes from.

Platinum selling MSG vocalist Robin McAuley (currently lead vocalist for 80’s rockers Survivor, as well as McAuley’s own band Bleed) returns to handle vocal duties on 4 New Machine tracks. For McAuley fans it’s a safe bet to say you’ve never heard Robin quite like this. And, stepping up to the mic for the first time on CD, the man behind the machine, David Vaccaro takes lead vocal on 5 tracks.

V-Project is not (and never will be) a current flavor of the month band. If that’s what you’re searching for, V-Project may not be for you. If however, you’re looking for a band that blends the urgency of today’s music with the guitar-oriented bands of another time and place, then put this CD into your stereo and power up your New Machine!
