About Me

My name is Shiyrah (well, my FIRST name is really Hope, but I don't go by that). I am a Connecticut native and have never lived in any other state. I have been married since October 2004 and have just bought my second house. It's a bit of a fixer upper, but we love it anyway. I have 2 stepkids and 2 black cats. I love to shop, but I usually only buy things on sale. My friends think I am weird, but that's ok, b/c I know I am.

My Interests

Swing Dancing (Lindy Hop), snowboarding, listening to music (anything that rocks and of course 80's music), decorating my house, shopping, lounging around with my girls in our velour sweatsuits.

I just got a Nintendo WII!!! YAY!!!!

I'd like to meet:

People I have lost touch with over the years...It's always nice to reconnect.

Television:

Anything in HD on my new 50" Sony VVEGA :)We've gotten sucked in to most primetime shows (b/c of course they are awesome to watch in HD)

Books:

I don't get to read that often...I like books that are confusing and exciting so that I won't put them down. I have a short attention span, so if the book gets too boring...BUH BYE!

I've been journaling a lot lately. It's been helping me get through the last month.
