About Me

An Irish blessing
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
I enjoy working with herbs and essentual oils to create sensual oil blends, incenses, soaps and various other types of home made products.
I owned and operated my own business for over 10 years called Echos of Enchantments, where I showcased my art and products along with various other artistans, everything was hand crafted and the catalog itself was an artistic product with artists such as Rene Yates and Lisa Carrier gracing its pages. My goal was to support local art and artists, to offer time-honored hand crafted items without commercialism. In that, at least, I feel I succeeded. I had hoped to one day open my own shop but fate chose otherwise. I do miss aspects of having my own business especially being a part of the fairs and various west coast events we had the priviledge to participate in, but in the end it was time to let it go. Below are two of the catalogs from my business.
A dream of mine was to see the Louve and in 2008 I was able to do that, it was fantastic and everything I had thought it would be. I just wished we had more time to explore!!
I love the Renaissance and Romanticism periods. Some of my favorite artists are Botticelli, Waterhouse, Dore, and Rubens. More current type art I lean towards nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha, and fantasy artists Linda Ravenscraft, Michael Parkes, David Delamare and Dorian Cleavenger to name but a very few.

I love dance and continue to take belly dance off and on as I have for many years, I was a member of a gypsy troope here in S. CA for a short time that preformed at local fairs and events. I admire most all forms of dance but belly dance, especially tribal, is where my heart lies.

I am a Tarot reader and have been for the most part of 12 years, I've worked full time professionally for a few years in local metaphysical shops, at charity events and parties. I still do private readings locally and on the phone when distance is an issue. I also enjoy dabbling in runes and astrology. Divination has graced every culture and I believe it is as valid and important today as it has been throughout history.
I was raised on Lake Cobbosseecontee in a small town in Maine, I love the seasonal changes and the beauty each one brought; Spring was crisp and clean with thunderstorms and lightening shows that were fantastic. Summers where warm and lazy, and I can still remember how peaceful suning on the dock and boating on the lake was. Nights were just as magical with the moon gleaming across the water at night and the lamanting of loons. Fall with its color changes is really something to see, the beauty is unsurpassed! And winter was a delight, snow falling against a dark sky, skating on the lake with the shifting of the ice creating earie sounds. It sometimes felt very much like we walked between the worlds there. The lake was, and is, one of the most picturesque I have ever seen. We were able to boat to local small islands and the light house pictured below, and in winter we could walk to them! It's where I learned to swim, ice skate, waterski, ice fish and snowmobile, and I miss it very much. It was a great place for love and lovers, memories of that time in my life give me a deep sence of peace and longing for its magic. My one wish (if that was all I got) is to once again live on a lake. I currently live in California and I sooooo miss the four seasons, TREES, and the rugged coastlines of the east. Below is a picture and history of the lighthouse called Ladies Delight on Lake Cobbessee and a little bit of her history, I have a thing with lighthouses, castles and temples......

Lake Cobbosseecontee is in the town of Manchester, Maine, between the state capital of Augusta and the town of Winthrop. Abenaki Indians fished in the nine-mile long lake, also known as Lake Cobbossee, long before the European settlers came. Around 1900, the lake became a resort with many cottages and inns.
The central part of a large jagged reef in the lake forms a small island called Ladies Delight, located about a mile south of Island Park in Manchester.
A lighthouse designed by Frank Morse, a Boston marine architect, was built on the island in 1908. The purpose of the light was to keep a passenger launch in the south end of the lake from going aground on the reef.
The lighthouse was erected by the Cobbosseecontee Yacht Club with the help of two oxen. The builders could transport only one ox at a time because of the size of the barge they used. After taking the first ox to the island, the workers returned to get the second one. In the meantime, the first ox grew lonely and started swimming back to the mainland as the workers returned to the island. They finally succeeded in getting both oxen on the island, and the lighthouse was built over the course of the summer.
Its light source was originally kerosene lanterns. A volunteer keeper would go out each evening to trim the wicks, clean the globes, and light the beacon. A system of grandfather clock weights was used to rotate a reflector.
The tower is 16 feet high with its wooden lantern adding another nine feet. It is equipped with a 75-watt light bulb intensified by a lens from a ship's anchor light.
A wind powered generator was used to power the light for a time in the 1930s. It now receives its power via a 1.5 mile cable from Manchester.
The Cobbosseecontee Yacht Club continues to maintain the lighthouse during the summer. In the mid-1980s, Hugh M. Stephens, Commodore of the Cobbosseecontee Yacht Club, became the keeper. Captain Stephens runs cruises on the lake by appointment
I love to travel, and I've been to England, Ireland, Scotland and Egypt. We recently went on a backpacking trip through Europe and briefly stopped in Paris, Italy where we went to Venice, Piza and Rome, then we flew to Athens Greece to see local temples and on to Romania where we had a road trip through the Capathian mountains, and lastly a very long train ride to Amsterdam. Still on my list of "to see" before death claims me are the Fjords of Norway, Sweden and Germany, and Australia and New Zealand.

Stealthly riding, across the sky,
