CEO and leading DJ, Ronnie “Mr. Menace†introduces ONE UNIT! Toronto’s Non-Stop Sound System. 6 Members: 3 DJS: 1Unit
Ronnie grew up with a love for music and a passion to DJ. During his teenage years he began his career by buildinghis music collection, working on technique, and DJing at house parties and BBQs. Since then, Ronnie has adopted thename, “Soca Menace.†As he mastered his style and built his reputation he was recruited into MVP Soundcrew as themain Soca DJ. During his time with MVP, Ronnie was given huge opportunities to play in some of Toronto’s mostoutstanding Soca events and work alongside big names such as Bass Oddessey and Little Thunder. In 2003, “SocaMenace†and a few other individuals were given the chance to start a new group called Tiptronik Ent. As time wentby, Ronnie the “Soca Menace†decided it was time to start a group he could call his own, one that would define himas a DJ.
In April 2006, who is now “Mr. Menace†founded One Unit Sound System. The group started with one individual and grewto have 6 important members who share the same goal and vision: to become Toronto’s most well known Sound System.Since the start of One Unit, two DJs and three individuals have been included to better market and co-ordinate thegroup. In the summer of 2007, One Unit officially became a member of the Wukupnuff family. One Unit will continueto work with the WUN family to bring the people what they want. Raw talent, determination and passion for sound willno doubt allow One Unit to become Toronto’s most familiar soca unit.
