Terrell JonesFrom the way you feed yourself to the clothes in which you eat in… THEY can do it! Cultured, creative, with a true affinity for any entity of life, Dhalimu M. Robinson and Terrell D. Jones gets the job done!Chasing dreams directly out of Seward Park High School in 1995, nestled in the lower east side, these gentlemen instantly embarked on “out of the box†careers. Dhalimu’s first gig shall we say was a fierce one; known as “Dollar†to those most intimate to him, he became the Hair Braiding “it†guy, utilizing his magic fingers in the chic “Beautiful Hair Salon†located in West Harlem, New York City. Terrell concurrently, put his heels to motion in East Harlem, becoming the youngest Modern dance instructor for the renowned “Boys Harborâ€. He too became the “it†guy, infusing hip-hop and jazz into his training. Together, they directed and produced dozens of inner city community projects, from Youth Talent Shows to Senior Citizens bake sales. The colorful personalities and infectious charm of the duo allowed them to meet and network with people from all walks of life. Dhalimu and Terrell were now famous.While the boys lives were equally fun and creative, in the summer of 1998 a sense of reality struck: they needed to obtain additional means to support these glamorous lifestyles. “Dollar†landed a job as a mailroom clerk in a prestigious law firm Gibney, Anthony, & Flaherty LLP on Fifth Avenue in New York City, while “Fly Guy†landed as receptionist for the massive Execu-Space a few blocks south on fifth as well. Both quickly gained promotions, corporate structure and respect from Senior Partner to entry level colleagues. Equally honed as “Mr. Fabulousâ€, Dhalimu and Terrell were consistently being motivated by conservative big wigs to “go out and take the fashion and entertainment world by stormâ€. And so…they began.This dynamic experience for Terrell was followed by employment at Gilmar USA where his niche for fashion afforded him opportunities to work within and then quickly head Public Relations. His tenure at Gilmar afforded him the freedom to tackle personal and professional work with several top-tier celebrities who have included NBA all star, Carmelo Anthony, Neo-Rican, Hip-Hop Grammy Award nominated Fat Joe, Men’s designer Jhane Barnes, Kelly Rowland of Record breaking, chart-topping, Grammy Award winning, mega group, Destiny’s Child, female mogul hip-hop sensation Lil’ Kim, and breakout phenomenon, Omarion, to name a few.Dhalimu promptly enrolled himself in a competitive fashion trade school to be countered with an offer of being a part of the opening team of Hudson Hotel, then New York’s premiere boutique establishment. Here too, he quickly excelled, going from Guest Service Agent to Director of Front Office within one year. Swarming with A-list celebrities and musicians of all genres, Dhalimu’s passion for fashion was reignited. By March of 2002, he began personal shopping for international clients and with the recommendation from his partner in crime, Mr. Jones himself, consulting a top New York fashion House, Gilmar Inc.USA with its collections, creating the looks and coaching the runway models.With his self made accomplishments, Mr. Robinson decided in April 2005 to leave the hospitality industry, appreciating the knowledge he’d gain, and take on full time employment with Terrell as a creative force to be reckoned with. The lifestyle connoisseurs together have impressed celebrity clients: R & B’s Sunshine Anderson, Tweet, dancehall king and pioneer, Sean Paul, mogul Sean “Diddy†Combs, stellar actress Tracie Ellis Ross, Def Jam’s first lady, Shareefa, MTV’s Making of the Band Danity Kane, breakthrough actress Zoe Saldana, R&B veteran JOE,Bad Boy’s southern Young Joc, and Atlanta’s vocal beauty Monica. The “Style Aficionados†have contributed their talents to magazines such as Vibe, Vibe Vixen, Hype Hair, Upscale, Fader, Dazed & Confused, The Source,They, in addition to styling fashion spreads, are hands on in casting models, creating the story, and directing the photo-shoots. In addition, these men have partnered with Liz Clairborne Inc. and the Inner Sanctum Group with the European MEXX store revamping their collection domestically and impressing in store shoppers with stylistic ideas and open Q and A’s. They have recently merged their personal successes into their own business, “Style Aficionados Inc.†Both proud of the past and pathway they have made for one another and others alike, they are most eager to continue their most prevalent dreams: “At large and in demand!â€
